PROJECT 3: AUDIO STORYTELLING

Project 3 requires us to dub the picture book, add background music and sound effects to make the final audio.

Mr. Razif asked us to randomly choose one of our favorite stories. I chose the famous Little Red Riding Hood.

I asked my sister to help record the sound, and the effect is very good, very vivid.

According to the content of the story, I found some background sound effects to make audio, which can better highlight the plot of the story.

Sound effect search and download

Because I used a mobile phone to record, the recorded sound was a bit noisy, too noisy, etc., so I reduced the noise to make the audio sound more comfortable.

Audio adjustment

In order to make the audio sound more natural and harmonious, I added fade in and fade out to reflect the plot changes of the picture book.

Add effect

The story needs picture book pictures to demonstrate. I saved the screenshots of Little Red Riding Hood pictures I found on the Internet and imported them into Pr software. I arranged the pictures in the software in order and edited them.

Picture import

Because the length of the audio and the picture book is not consistent, the length of the picture corresponding to each audio needs to be adjusted to make them connect smoothly.

Reflection

Experiences

I had some difficulty adjusting the audio. Through the Internet information inquiry, I finally successfully solved these difficulties. If I can't solve the problem, I choose to revise my clips to make them complete.

Observations

In the process of dubbing a picture book, it is necessary to constantly switch emotions and roles, and express them with sounds according to the content of the story. The use of sound effects and dubbing can effectively render the atmosphere and rhythm.

Findings

This project expanded my understanding of the use of dubbing and sound effects, learned how to reduce noise and ambient sound, exercised my ability to regulate audio, and improved my professional skills. I began to think about how to better express emotions with voice, so as to achieve better narrative effect.
