Week 9
Storyboard is the first step to visualize abstract ideas. It bridges the gap between "concept design" and "actual production". Through a series of static frames, creators can plan the rhythm, transitions, key shots, etc. of the animation in advance, greatly improving production efficiency and avoiding rework.
Extract visual nodes from the script: first understand the script or narration content, then extract the key pictures that need to be shown.
Draw sketches or collage reference pictures: the pictures do not need to be exquisite, but the composition, action direction and visual atmosphere must be accurately conveyed.
Add actions, timelines and captions: the notes for each frame clearly explain the transition method (such as fade, slide), dubbing or sound effects, which helps the team understand the intention.

Week 10
What we want to achieve is not simply "overlaying images", but to make it change perspective, angle and position with the movement of the real camera. This requires the use of:

Project 3 - Channel Identity
This project is a continuation of the theme of the previous project II. The trailer should reflect the style you most want to present to attract the audience. We hope to create a cute and light-hearted style.
We used a large number of products as materials, creating a relaxed and cheerful mood.
Wang Yifan and I worked together to create sketches and storyboards.

Reflection
This project is similar in form to the second one, but I feel that it gives me more room for creativity and allows me to deeply explore my own ideas. During the process, our group had numerous discussions, attempting to integrate everyone's viewpoints and design concepts. Although it took a long time, these discussions were necessary because the collision of ideas helped us break away from the original framework, thereby continuously optimizing the work and making the final effect more complete and layered.
During the project production process, I explored more advanced techniques in After Effects, particularly in layer management, effect application, and rhythm control. At the same time, I also learned how to integrate 2D animations with 3D elements, such as using camera perspectives, layer depths, and lighting effects to create more three-dimensional and visually impactful images. This was a completely new challenge for me and also a very valuable skill.
Through this practice, I not only improved my technical skills but also enhanced my experience in collaborating and communicating with others. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire creative process and felt a sense of achievement upon completing this project. These learnings will have a positive impact on my future design projects and have also deepened my understanding and enthusiasm for motion design.
