Project 4-ABSTRACT MOTION


Students are required to create an abstract dynamic graphic video based on a specific theme. This video should have excellent audio-visual effects (such as using 3D/2D, mixed media, or any experimental visual presentation forms), and it must have a distinct theme. 
I plan to spend 30 seconds on a highly rhythmic and jazzy montage. 
Our original intention was to create a compact and cohesive visual presentation, so I decided to use anime series like "Attack on Titan", "Sawman", and "Neon Genesis Evangelion" which have a strong sense of rhythm for the production.
We began searching for relevant information online and decided to use their clips for the production.


The video is mainly composed of clips from anime, presented with energetic music. Three anime series have been selected and divided into three parts.

Reflection

The learning experience this semester was very interesting. I had the opportunity to try different styles of creation, including meaningful or works with personal stories, to create an emotional connection with the audience. Through this course, I was able to fully express my ideas and received a lot of advice and guidance on technical implementation from Mr. Fauzi. This allowed me to acquire a lot of knowledge about visual effects and the powerful functions of After Effects. 

I find these skills truly amazing. The technical means can actually create various different visual effects. This kind of knowledge is widely applied in our daily lives. For instance, the videos and animated images we usually see can mostly be produced through these methods. Some videos may seem simple, but in fact, a lot of time and effort are needed to complete them. Through this learning experience, I have also come to understand more clearly: becoming a designer is not easy. It not only requires skills, but also patience and the accumulation of aesthetic sense. 

In the future, I will pay more attention to observing life, accumulate my own aesthetic understanding, and at the same time, keep learning more professional knowledge to enhance my design ability.
