REFLECTION

Experience

This is the first time for me to take a typography class, and I have never touched this aspect of design before. Everything about the typography class was a new experience for me. I really like the project of designing my own fonts, which is very challenging, and I have learned a lot of new knowledge in the process of designing, which is very interesting.

Observations

Over the course of this semester, I have moved on from my initial simple impression of typography. I now understand that typography means organizing and arranging elements such as text and images according to certain rules and artistic principles. Typography is an important design technique that focuses on the layout of text and other visual elements on a page or screen, font selection, line spacing, font spacing, paragraph spacing, and other arrangements and combinations to create orderly, easy-to-read, and aesthetically pleasing visuals.

Findings

During the course of my studies, I began to realize the need for meticulous attention in the field of design. Typography, in particular, has taught me that even the slightest adjustment - be it a slight tilt, a change in size, or a slight alteration - can make a vastly different visual effect. By carefully studying different works, thinking about the nuances of their design choices, and taking each step seriously, I can gain a wealth of knowledge. Typography seems to be more than just creating beautiful arrangements; It's a constant learning process.
